A Big Boy Toy - 2008 Harley Davidson Night Train

Posted on November 13th, 2008 by Nixon in Motorcycle Project

A toy for the “Big Boys”, this is what I tell my friends when they see me riding around on my HD. It has been a while since I’ve written anything about my motorcycle project or information on any new modifications added on to my ride. So, I’ve decided to create this small video to show you the current status it is in.

Here is the video:

    I like your new rims and tires. May I ask where you bought them and what model they are?

    I did a similiar upgrade to my 2008 Night Train (RSD Judge Wheel with Metlzer ME 880 18 x 5.5, 21 x 3.5). What did you do for a front fender? You still running nude or did you get some fab work done? Would enjoy picking your brain on this. Nice scoot ya got there, come by our website sometime good group of die hard HD riders.

    @Todd:
    I’m not running it nude any longer. I recently did some fab work on it and changed out the forks. I will post up new videos and images shortly. Thanks for the comment. =)

    How did you hook up or what brake line replacement did you use to hook the forward controls up? I just purchased new controls and trying to figure out the kick stand and brakeline placement. I hated the casted style. I also did the big bore kit I have the 2008 Night train

    JUST CURIOUS….HOW MUCH BETTER DID THE VANCE AND HINES BIG RADIUS SOUND OVER STOCK…ARE THE V&H LOUD ENOUGH….HOW MUCH MORE POWER DID THE AIR INTAKE GET YOU. ALSO CURIOUS WHY YOU CHOSE CHROME EXHAUST AND INTAKE OVER THE BLACK VERSIONS. THANKS. MIKE.

    @MIKE:
    Vance & Hines made a major sound improvement compared to the stock exhaust. So, I highly recommend getting something different than the stock pipes if interested. As for power, I was able to gain additional more horse power so everything counts. Now as for why chrome, you say just more of a personal preference.

    Hi there. I realy would love to see how does your ride look like on the final touches you have done to it. Like the front fender you say you are working on. Have yo ride with a chic in the back on your 2 inch lowered bike? how stiff has it come to be? By the way, i do apology because of my english, I speak spanish. Greetings

    That’s the nicest looking NT I’ve seen. Would love to look at your build/mod list if you would share.

    Hello….love the night train. I am hoping to get my own this summer. Wondering if you would be willing to send me pictures of the finished product? I can’t see the video for some reason and i would like to see the results. I am looking for ideas, to make my bike, a little more mine. And yours happens to come pretty close to how I imagined it. Thanks.
